SMG Consulting Group was co-founded in 2001 by Gary Stephens and his wife Maleka C Stephens, which the SMG of the company name are the initials of the co-founders.  On April 30, 2021 Maleka C Stephens lost her 2-year battle with cancer.

In her memory, Gary Stephens created a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in her name sake, the Maleka C Stephens Foundation.  The foundation shall continue the legacy and embody her charitable efforts she fulfilled throughout her lifetime.

The Maleka C Stephens Foundation intends to publicly continue the private generosity administered to people & organization throughout a 29-year matrimony between Gary & Maleka.

The foundation charitable purpose is to help individuals and organizations from underserved communities.  Our efforts shall help our targeted market through informative programs within four core areas: financial literacy, entrepreneurship, mentorship, and health & wellness

SMG Consulting Group shall commit a minimum of $10,000 of their annual profits to the Maleka C Stephens foundation to help execute the organizations mission.
